Cheryl Cole is going to have a good rest over the festive period. The Girls Aloud star has had a busy year after judging UK TV talent show.

The X Factor' and launching a successful solo career and is keen to take some time off after getting Christmas out of the way.

Cheryl - who is married to England soccer player Ashley Cole - said: "I just want some time off! I want time with my family and time with my dogs, just a rest I suppose. Somewhere sunny!"

Dannii's act Stacey Solomon may have lost out to Cheryl Cole's Joe McElderry, but you've crowned Dannii your style champion with a landslide win over the Geordie lass in Now's poll.

63% of Now voters preferred Dannii's style whereas only 37% chose Cheryl.  Throughout the competition the two female judges have faced a mixture of criticism and praise for their style performances each weekend.

Cheryl Cole keeps shoes in her handbag.  The Girls Aloud beauty always uses an over-sized bag as she likes to carry lots of stuff around with her, including her designer footwear. 

She said: "People often say, 'What on earth do you have a handbag that size for?' but you'd be surprised what you can fit in it.

I get a whole make-up bag in there, serum, some face wipes and, if I'm travelling, I've been known to stuff a pair of shoes in too - I'm not joking!"

The 'Fight For This Love' singer also gave advice on how to stop lipgloss rubbing off on your teeth when you first put it on.

Cheryl Cole has revealed that she respects her X Factor co-judge Simon Cowell even though he keeps getting on her nerves.

The Girls Aloud singer said she was learning from the music mogul despite his rudeness. "If he does fancy me, hes really not going the right way about it!" the Mirror quoted the 26-year-old star as saying.

"He called me up the other week after hed watched the show back and said, 'Im just calling you because Ive just watched your VT (video tape) and I dont know what you were wearing but you looked terrible and your personality was like a snail'.

I get it as well, its not just contestants, hes rude to me! As much as it gets tense on the show and he can be really annoying, hes kind and truthful and I really respect him.
