Cheryl Cole has launched a veiled attack against her former X Factor protégé Cher Lloyd. The Girls Aloud singer took to her twitter account to post a cryptic message which appeared to warn the 'Swagger Jagger' hitmaker, who recently criticised the brunette beauty for miming in her performances, to "be careful" with her words and actions.

Cheryl tweeted: "Be Careful who you kick on your way up ... They kick you twice as hard on your way back down. #Unappreciationisugly. (sic)"Her message comes after Cher mocked her former mentor in a radio interview earlier this week. When asked whether she would ever perform with Cheryl, she replied: "Maybe, if she'd sing live with me."

And when questioned if the prospect of singing live could be a difficult one for the 'Promise This' singer, Cher replied: "Well it is nowadays, when you haven't got the nifty little button to press!"But when asked if she was talking about autotune she laughed and sarcastically replied: "What, oh no? Never, never ever!"

Cher recently revealed she hasn't heard from Cheryl - who quit her judging role on the 'X Factor' to become a panellist on the US version of the show before she was axed after just four audition rounds - since they worked together on the talent show in 2010. She explained: "Cheryl understood me and helped me a lot and so it's sad that I haven't heard from her. "But if she wants to give me a ring she can. If not, that's fine too."

Missed the sound of Cheryl Cole’s dulcet tones blasting out your radio?

Fear not. The Geordie beauty has just announced her third album is complete and it’s safe to say she is a little bit excited about the new music. She Tweeted: “Yesss.! The album is DONE !!! *dancing all over the place* I’m Soooo HAPPY and EXCITED to share with you !! #CherylMusic on its way.. Booyaa.”

Booyaa indeed. Cheryl has been working on the record for months, spending a great deal of time in LA recording with a host of top producers, including Alex Da Kid and Patrizio Pigliapoco. Under the watchful eye of BFF and manager will.i.am, she is also thought to have worked with Usher and Taio Cruz. This is going to be some album!

One artist who won’t be featuring on Chezza’s third masterpiece is Cher Lloyd. The girls seemed inseparable when Cheryl mentored Cher during her stint on The X Factor in 2010, but since then they haven’t stayed in touch and Cher’s comments about Ms Cole haven’t exactly paved the way for a beautiful friendship.

Earlier in the week Cher was asked if she would consider a duet with Cheryl, to which she resplied: "Maybe if she sings live with me."When pushed to explain the comments during the Real Radio North West's Real Breakfast Show, which host Debbie Ousbey said sounded like a challenge to Cole, Cher responded: "Well it always is nowadays, when you haven't got the nifty little button to press."

When asked if she meant auto-tune, Lloyd laughed and added: "What, oh no? Never, never ever!" Put those claws away. Never one to take things lying down, Cheryl posted a cryptic message on Twitter, which read: “Be Careful who you kick on your way up .. Cheryl Cole is among the music stars who have taken to their Twitter accounts to wish their fans a happy Valentine's Day. The Wanted, Tinie Tempah and One Direction have also offered their best wishes.

Cheryl tweeted: "Happy Valentines Day #sexysoldiers.. Mwah x .""happy valentines day everyone, love you all so much.. if it wasnt for you there would be no 1D, xxxxx ," confessed Niall Horan of One Direction. The Wanted star Max George simply wrote: "Happy Valentines Day! X," with Tinie Tempah also keeping his message short, tweeting: "Happy Valentines day y'all..."

"Happy Valentines Day to all the cats around the world ILYSM .x.X.x.X.x," added 'All About Tonight' star Pixie Lott. There was also the offering of a Valentine's date from girl group The Saturdays who posted: "Happy Valentines Day guys...we love you loads! Any of you fancy being our valentine today??"

Cheryl Cole has reportedly reconciled with her former boyfriend Derek Hough. The Girls Aloud singer was thought to have dated Hough after she divorced her ex-husband Ashley Cole in February 2010. Cheryl and Derek were said to have become closer when she moved to the States in 2011.

After the couple split Hough is thought to have dated The Hills star Lauren Conrad. However, the pair were apparently spotted at a recent Coldplay gig in Los Angeles. A source told the Daily Star: "They were really slushy.

"He stood with his arms round her waist as they mouthed the words to each other for 'Fix You'."After the concert, Cheryl took to the social networking site twitter to gush about the band's performance. She wrote: "S*********t !! Just watched Coldplay at the Nokia club ! They're on FIRE ! .. #legends."

When two people love each other very much, sometimes they get angry and shout at each other when they don't both agree on the same things. It doesn't mean they don't love each other, just that one of them is from Newcastle and they other is from Plymouth. They're just too different. Also, one of their dads was a Gladiator named Bullit. Different worlds.

Who are we talking about? It's Cheryl Cole and Harvey Sosolid (sounds Turkish) of course! Harvey and Cheryl have recently been engaged in a very public row after Harvey last week alleged that many years ago Cheryl sent him love emails, a claim which Cheryl has since denied, BECAUSE SHE'S STILL IN LOVE WITH ASHLEY! She appears smiling serenely in the ad campaign for her charity lipstick. But Cheryl Cole has made a more convincing argument for fans to snap up the limited edition make-up by posting a picture of her pout on Twitter. The singer, 28, posed in the back of a car in LA recently and tweeted the picture of herself, writing: 'Have you tried my L'Oreal lipstick for my Charity with the Princes Trust? Not only is it for charity but it is Gorgeous!! I LOVE it!'

The lipstick, named 'Red Passion' (shade 297) was launched last month, with £1 from every sale benefiting The Trust's work. At the time Cheryl said: 'I love wearing lipstick as it is makes me feel glamorous whatever the occasion. 'I chose this iconic luxurious, red shade as it is the perfect dramatic accessory.'I am so thrilled the funds raised from my L’Oréal Paris lipstick can make a difference to people’s lives through my foundation with The Prince's Trust.'

Cheryl said she thought carefully about the shade of the lipstick and wanted to pick one that would suit everyone. 'When selecting the shade I chose one I felt would flatter most hair and skin types, and is the red that everyone wants in their make-up bag.'Cheryl is busy in the recording studio in LA and tweeted that she was sad to be missing the snow back home.

She will be relieved, though, to be far away from the ongoing scandal surrounding the allegations that she had a romantic relationship with rapper MC Harvey. Last night the Promise This star told fans on Twitter that she was still baffled by the claims, which were originally published in an interview in Now magazine. Taking to the stage alongside Madonna was Nicki Minaj who, fresh from the stage, Tweeted her fans to say: "God bless Madonna, & God bless the barbzzz!!!!! *kisses all 9 million of u* ;)"Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole liked what she saw; "WOW.. However, it was no all praise for Madonna with Piers Morgan sending a series of Tweets criticisning the half-time show. "Somebody. Stop. Her. My toes are actually curling," he started. SIMON Cowell is sensationally swooping for Cheryl Cole as he brings his brutal X Factor revamp to the British show. The singer he dumped from the US series last year is now his number one target to replace Kelly Rowland, it was revealed last night. The move comes after almost the entire team from American X Factor was axed with host Steve Jones and judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul all given the chop last week.

A source close to Simon said: “Cheryl is part of The X Factor family. Formal discussions have yet to take place but if she wants to come back she would be welcomed with open arms.”Simon and Cheryl, 28, made up last year after the Geordie singer flew a cheeky banner past his birthday party teasing him for turning 52.

When asked if that meant he would like her to return, he said: “For sure, if she wanted to – 100%. I think she probably misses me.”Last month, the mogul said the UK panel of Kelly, Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos had not been bold enough.

Now ITV chiefs are braced to hear who he wants to fire – and hire – and they’ve told Simon they won’t oppose a Cheryl comeback. An insider said: “We’d welcome her with open arms. She was hugely popular and she’s totally gorgeous. We’d love to have her back.”But senior executives are adamant too much change could put off the audience. “We didn’t touch Blind Date for 17 years and that did all right,” one grumbled.
