Cheryl Cole may have been feeling ill this week but, as these sexy pictures show, the singer’s looking better than ever. Rankin took the provocative pictures for the newly launched ‘Hunger’ magazine in which the Girls Aloud stars poses in her raunchiest photoshoot to date. In the shots Cheryl’s hair is wet and mussed up and her eyes devilishly smokey. Throw in a slick of vampy dark lipstick and a handful of seductive poses (with a pole, obvs) and you just know Cheryl means business.

The singer’s usual look is miles away from these raunchy Rankin shots – tending towards perfectly tousled curls with barely a hair out of place and neat manicures Cheryl prefers to be groomed to within an inch of her life. The ‘Three Words’ star’s new look comes in the same week she was forced to pull out of Children in Need Rocks in Manchester after she was struck down with a sore throat.
Cheryl was due to perform with X Factor judge Gary Barlow at the event which took place last night (17th November). He said: “Cheryl is absolutely gutted she’s not here. It was her one big performance of the year. I won’t tell you what we were going to sing because we might keep it up our sleeves for a performance in the future. “I didn’t want to replace her. That’s why I’ve done something on my own. You can’t get rid of me that easily”.
The launch of ‘Hunger’ magazine an ‘Hunger TV’ comes twenty years after Rankin launched ‘Dazed & Confused’ with Jefferson Hack. Launched yesterday (November 17th) Rankin says: “More than two decades into my career as a photographer, I am still inspired by what I do everyday. I named my first retrospective exhibition ‘Visually Hungry’ – that’s how I felt. In a lot of ways, it is how I think I’ll feel until I die”.
