CHERYL Cole is ready to quit Britain to become a judge on Simon Cowell's American X Factor. The Girls Aloud star said: "I love the thought of it and I would love to do it." Cowell, 50, is said to be keen to get X Factor judge Cole on the US version of the singing talent show. But she admit ted she is worried that she might not be a hit with an American audience because of her broad Geordie accent.

Cole added: "It is a really scary thing. Why would they give it to me? They don't know me and I have got this weird accent. "The talent out there is phenomenal."I would buzz off them but whether they would buzz off me, I don't know. "I'm a Cancerian, so I'm a real homebody. But if the opportunity is there, I will give 110 per cent."
Cole, 26, was speaking during an hour-long appearance on Radio 1. She didn't mention her est ranged husband Ashley once.She performed her current single Parachute and a cover version of Owl City's Fireflies on the show. But she admitted a night out with her Girls Aloud bandmates had left her feeling less than 100 per cent.
Mistakes Cole said: "I am a bit worse for wear because I had a couple of drinks with the girls last night so I am not feeling so good. "Maybe I shouldn't have drunk so much. At the time, it seemed like a really nice idea."
Cole said her life was "nonstop but all good, all positive". The only hint of her recent split from footballer Ashley came when she said: "There's going to be times when I make mistakes, when I make a bad choice or whatever. "But I'm hoping that's also an inspiration to women."
